Wills

At Walker Laird we believe making a will is one of the most important decisions a person makes. Everyone should make a Will and should review it from time to time as their circumstances change.

Having a Will allows a person to decide what happens to their property and possessions. If a person dies without a Will their assets will be distributed according to law rather than their wishes.

As part of making a will, you will appoint 'executors' to carry out your instructions. In many cases, one of these executors will be your solicitor. In any event, your executors will be required to compile an inventory of your assets and your solicitors will normally do this.

Executries

At Walker Laird we pride ourselves in our caring and personal approach to dealing with Executry cases. Our Executry department will attend to the formalities of obtaining Confirmation, ingathering the Estate, dealing with all tax matters and distributing the Estate in accordance with the Will of the deceased. Walker Laird also has experience in the administration of Trusts.
