In accordance with recent legislation regarding Powers of Attorney greater care should now be taken in the preparation of the legal document. A Power of Attorney allows an individual to authorise another to act on their behalf in dealing with their affairs.

Walker Laird takes every measure to insure that all necessary requirements are compiled with and the Power of Attorney document is composed to give effect to the wishes of each client. Walker Laird also has experience in managing the affairs of clients in nursing care.

If an individual does not have capacity to grant a Power of Attorney, then a guardianship application to the court may be necessary. Walker Laird have experience in dealing with guardianship applications.
